Efia Dalili
E N Dalili is an artist, folklorist, educator, and birthworker. She's creative and a problem solver. She likes to travel, talk to people, and learn about them. Nomalanga likes to swim, explore nature, garden, and attend music concerts. She loves good food. Dalili connects moms and sister❤️friends. She would like to deepen and expand BBPenda’s “healing each healer” events, infusing these gatherings with history relevant for BBPenda’s moms and families.

Brenda Brown
Brenda Brown and E N Dalili have known each other since graduate school at Cornell University. Brenda is a college history professor, and has taught history for over twenty-five years. Brenda likes to learn about Africa by traveling, reading and studying about Africa, and performing traditional West African dance. Brenda brings her knowledge of Africa to BB-Penda by helping the collective to keep Africa first.

Zahra Dalili
Zahra Dalili is the youngest daughter of Efia. She is an early elementary teacher, mindfulness/yoga instructor, and editor. Zahra’s yoga practice helps her sister❤️friends stay centered and balanced. She helps BBPenda stay organized by scheduling and planning events. Zahra likes to dance, practice yoga, create, and appreciate art. She likes journaling, and practices mindfulness with her students. Zahra is a deejay who loves music, makes playlists, travels, and loves to try new food. Zahra contributes to BBPenda by teaching yoga, meditation, mindfulness exercises, and conscious discipline practices for children and adults.

Zani Dalili
Zani Dalili is the mother of twins and a Montessori educator. She is an Anti-bias educator, who emphasizes the importance of children’s literature. Zani works with children and families, sharing and discovering ways that a Montessori education enriches and celebrates individuality. Zani enjoys nature and likes to travel and talk to people. She loves doing things that bring her energy. She tends to throw herself into her work, and as a writer and poet, is good at taking notes. Zani will be contributing her creativity, art, and journaling aspects to our events.

Ayana Dalili
Ayana Dalili is a healer, middle daughter, sister, aunt and loving friend. She’s good at forming connections with people and creating space to allow people to feel comfortable and seen. Ayana is a great listener with a good sense of humor. Ayana loves dancing, traveling, spending time with loved ones, trying new restaurants, exploring nature, and cooking for the people she loves. Her contributions to BBPenda consist of creating and managing our social media platforms. She collaborates with other health professionals within her specialty of OB/GYN to find resources for our sister❤️friends and little sisters.

Erica Seaman
Erica Seaman is a child of God, wife, mother, sister, friend and aunt. She’s very good at customer service. She finds that people seem to trust and believe in her. As a result of her nursing profession, she’s good at patient teaching. Erica enjoys working out: walking, hiking, rock climbing and weightlifting. Erica loves traveling, trying new things and being around people who are positive and fun! Erica contributes her customer service acumen to BBPenda, and makes sure the people that we help are actually satisfied with the services we offer.
